Day 1: Sydney

Day 2: Sydney

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE TOUR:

Step inside the iconic opera of Sydney and learn more about its remarkable achievement. If Sydney Opera House is a UNESCO world heritage listed site since 2007, it is for a good reason. The most famous opera in the world in an indisputable masterpiece of the 20th century. With your English-speaking guide, you will explore the different theatres where more than 1600 performances take place every year! (concerts, operas, dramas, ballets...). During approximately 1h, your guide will explain you every aspect of the building's creation and history.

Located at the heart of the Botanic Gardens, the Art Gallery is a must-do for all the culture enthusiasts. With more than 30,000 works in its collection, it is Sydney's most important public gallery! Take time to visit the numerous permanent collections. Many of them are dedicated to the local artists, both Aboriginal and White. The Art Gallery also regularly hosts travelling national and international exhibitions. From the café, you will enjoy nice views over the Woolloomooloo Bay.

Day 3: Sydney - Manly - Sydney

FULL DAY GUIDED TOUR OF SYDNEY:

Discover Sydney, Australia's most famous city! Your guide will meet you at your hotel. Together, you will head for the historic district of Sydney: the Rocks! You will find there some of Australia's oldest monuments, that were built back in the 18th century by the first European settlers. Then you will cross the Harbour Bridge to go to Bradley's Head, from where you will have a really nice view over Sydney. Then you will go further north, to the seaside city of Manly. With its pretty beach, Manly is the place to be for all surf lovers. You will then discover the wealthy neighborhood of Palm Beach, where you will have lunch. After lunch, you will pursue your journey to the north of Sydney and reach the Ku-ring-gai National Park, famous for its Aboriginal rock art. From West Head, you will enjoy a panoramic view, before going back to your hotel.

Day 4: Sydney - Melbourne

Day 5: Melbourne - Great Ocean Road - Melbourne

DAY TRIP ON THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD:

Early in the morning, your guide will pick you up at your hotel. You will then head off to the Great Ocean Road. Your first stop will be at Anglesea, a nice village. Your guide will tell you more about the Great Ocean Road, that was built by soldiers at the beginning of WWII. You will then stop at different lookouts. If you are lucky enough, you should see koalas in their natural environment. After crossing Apollo Bay, you will reach the Great Otway National Park, where you will take the start of a 30 minute walk. The rainforest is just beautiful with its centennial ferns! Next stop will be at the photogenic Gibsons Beach. Finally, you will reach one of the most visited sites of Australia: the Twelve Apostles! After discovering Victoria's emblem, you will go back to Melbourne.

Day 6: Melbourne

MELBOURNE FULL DAY TOUR WITH INDIGENOUS GUIDE:

The city of Melbourne was founded back in 1803, but Aborigines had occupied the area for an estimated 30 000 to 40 000 years! With an indigenous guide, belonging to the Boonwurrung community, you will discover the Aboriginal roots of Melbourne. Your guide will share you his vision of the city, his culture and the traditions of his people. This tour will take you to the different neighbourhoods of Melbourne and will give you the opportunity to get an insight into a culture that dates back to 60 000 years!

ULURU SUNSET:

Today, you will discover the world's most famous monolith: Uluru! At sunset, Uluru becomes scarlet red, before falling asleep in the dark. You will experience the different shades of Uluru from a lookout and have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the spirit of the Australian Outback. To make your experience unforgettable, a glass of sparkling wine and some apetizers will be served during sunset.

National park entry is not included. Ticket is 25 AUD per person over the age of 15 years.

Day 8: Ayers Rock - Cave Hill - Ayers Rock

ABORIGINAL EXPERIENCE AT CAVE HILL:

Early in the morning, your guide will pick you up at your hotel, and you will head to the remote Aboriginal land of Pitjantjatjara in a 4WD vehicle. This tour will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Aboriginal culture and in the unusual atmosphere of the Australian outback. Along the way, you will see the Mt Conner, which is the third highest Australian monolith. Your guide will tell you some Aboriginal legends about Dreamtime. Then you will reach the Aboriginal site of Cave Hill. The Anangu are the traditional owners of Cave Hill. You will visit this art site, whose paintings are remarkably well preserved. Then you will climb a small hill to enjoy panoramic views over Uluru and the Musgrave Ranges. During this tour, you will also enjoy a BBQ lunch and see how desert bush tucker delights are cooked, ans have time to learn about the life of the Anangu people in the desert.

Day 9: Ayers Rock - Kata Tjuta - Ayers Rock - Cairns

SUNRISE ON KATA-TJUTA:

In the early morning, your guide will pick you up at Ayers Rock Resort. From there, Kata-Tjuta is a 40km journey through the desert landscape. On arrival at the viewing platform, you will start seeing the sun's morning glow and enjoy nice views over the 36 domes. Then, you will make your way to the western site of Kata-Tjuta to relax and enjoy a picnic breakfast. Afterwards, you will discover the Walpa Gorge and your guide will share the significance of this site. You will walk between the high rock walls, before heading back to the resort.

Day 10: Cairns - Great Barrier Reef - Cairns

CRUISE ON THE GREAT BARRIER REEF:

From Cairns, a fast catamaran will take you to a large pontoon located at pristine Moore Reef, approximately 40kms from Cairns. This pontoon is dedicated to the observation of the rich fauna of the Great Barrier Reef. You will have different options, depending on your preferences. You can choose to watch the corals from the semi-submersible viewing bot or to make use of the snorkelling equipment. Scuba diving is possible as an option. You will spend 4h at the outer reef, and will therefore have plenty of time to explore the area. This tour includes a tropical lunch buffet.

Day 11: Cairns - Cape Tribulation

THREE DAY CAPE TRIBULATION AND COOKTOWN SAFARI:

This morning, you will be collected from your accommodation in Cairns and travel north along a scenic route to Mossman. Around you, the vegetation will slowly change, from seaside plants to luxuriant forests. No doubt: You are in the Daintree rainforest! After a morning tea break, you will enjoy a 1h cruise on the Daintree River. This will give you the chance to see some crocodiles and to learn more about the mangrove ecosystem. Afterwards, you will climb the Alexandra Range. From a lookout, you will have a panoramic view of the world heritage tropical forest. You will then take the start of a walk in the beautiful forest and have time to take pictures and observe the cassowaries.

You will spend the night at the Cape Trib Beach House.

Day 12: Cape Tribulation - Cooktown

Your adventure in Queensland will take you further north! You will discover Cooktown, which is probably the last frontier of North Queensland. Thanks to your 4WD vehicle, you will take the Bloomfield Track, which winds in the middle of the rainforest! You will travel through mountain ranges, cross rivers and spot crocodiles along the way! You will then stop in one of North Queensland's oldest pubs, the Lions Den Hotel, where you will have lunch. Afterwards, you will visit the Black Mountains , steeped in Aboriginal legends, before arriving in Cooktown. You will have time to discover the city before spending the night at the Seaview Motel.

Day 13: Cooktown - Cairns

Free day to experience historic Cooktown before a late departure via the
inland road, The Mulligan Highway, travelling through a diverse landscape
of North Queensland’s Outback, cattle stations and the Palmer River Gold
mine region rich in history of the gold rush era. A meal break (at your own
expense) on the return journey before your tour of exploring comes to a
close and transferred to your accommodation

Day 14: Cairns - Darwin

Capital city of the Northern Territoriy, Darwin is a dynamic, pleasant city. Depending on your preferences, you can choose to visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory or to have a coffee at Stokes Hill Wharf. Then, you can make your way to the Crocosaurus Cove, where you will see several species of crocodiles... At the end of the day, relax on Mindil Beach. Every Thursday and Sunday, from May to October, a nice open-air market is organized on the beach. Both Aussies and tourists like to wander stroll between the stands. You will find everything you need to eat on the go.

Day 15: Darwin - Arnhemland

FOUR DAY ARNHEMLAND ADVENTURE:

Early in the morning, you will enjoy an overflight of the Kakadu National Park, that will take you to the remote Arnhemland. You will arive at the bush camp around 8h30am and will have time to explore the area on your own. This incredible reserve was created by Max Davidson. Max Davidson is one of Australia's most renowned bushtuckers. He will share you his passion for the incredible environment of the Arnhemland. Thanks to his passionate exploration of this part of Australia, he developed strong ties with the local Aboriginal communities. He will help you understand the mysterious culture of the first inhabitants of Australia. During your stay, all the meals and tours are included. There are no itineraries: everything happens spontaneously. The guides will do everything they can to meet your wishes. One of the options is to discover the Rainbow Serpent. This place is covered by Aboriginal rock art and your guide will help you understand the meaning of the different symbols.

Day 16: Arnhemland

There are so many things to do and to discover in the Arnhemland, that it is difficult to write all of them! Here are some examples of the great experiences that you will be able to live:
- Rock galleries and Catacombs: Discover galleries of Aboriginal rock art and learn more about the history and the painting techniques of the local Aboriginal communities. Walk through the catacombs that display signs of mortuary rites.
- Outdoor experiences: Explore the rainforest areas and discover their unusual ecosystem. Walk around the lodge and find pleny of local bush tucker and medicines! Fish the barramundi. Watch rare species in their natural environment.
- 4WD Exploration: Enjoy a tour of the Arnhemland in a comfortable 4wd!

Day 17: Arnhemland

This day is dedicated to the exploration of the magnificent and pristine Arnhemland region. The Arnhemland is one of the most remote place of Australia and is home to one of the oldest cultures in the world! The wildlife is of a rare diversity, and the guides will be glad to learn you more about it. Take part in one of the experiences and guided tours, explore the region on your own or just relax in the quiet atmosphere of the lodge.

Day 18: Arnhemland - Darwin

After 4 days in the wonderful and remote Arnhemland, you will be taken back to Darwin. The 4wd journey will give you the opportunity to ride through the Kakadu National Park. Along the way, you will have some breaks to cool off. You will be back in Darwin around 13h.
